There are few things better in life than a delicious crispy hot crumpet oozing with melted butter - or at least so we thought…

How about if you were to combine the comforting hug of a toasted crumpet with the pure indulgence of classic garlic bread oozing with cheese?

Well, it turns out that a whole bunch of people have been busy creating the dream crossover food combo that, let’s face it, each one of us is currently wishing we’d though of already.

It seems like the mouthwatering snack may have first been shared by TikToker @foodmadesimple, who posted a lovely video of their recipe.

The vid sees @foodmadesimple, takes five crumpets before cutting them into quarters and arranging them in a baking dish, before coating them in plenty melted garlic butter and a good old helping of cheese.

All that’s left to do then is pop the dish in the oven for 10-15 minutes  until until your cheese has melted and the crumpets have begun to  brown.

And it’s fair to say, for something so incredibly simple, the end result looks incredibly effective. Arguably, the airy, open texture of the crumpet is actually the perfect vessel for transporting delicious garlic cheesy melted butter to your mouth, which has left many people wondering why they’d never seen it before…

One person commented: “WE MUST DO THIS,” while another said: “Oh my I love garlic bread AND crumpets.” A third fan wrote: “Okay so at first I was like, no you can't mess with crumpets but now I'm sat here knowing I have crumpets in the cupboard contemplating making this.” A fourth simply went with: "Leaves house to go and buy crumpets."

Other people have been trying out the recipe too, sharing their versions on Instagram with some very interesting extra twists including cheesy garlic crumpet dippy-egg soldiers (big fan)!

If you’re after a bit of a boozy treat this weekend, why not try out a Biscoff Espresso Martini?

Boasting a delicious combination of espresso, vodka, creamy caramel liqueur, indulgent Biscoff spread and a Biscoff biscuit crumb, the drink haas been taking Instagram by storm, with dozens of people posting enticing pics of their drinks.

While they may look super fancy, it turns out that they’re actually pretty easy to throw together, requiring just a few ingredients as well as a blender and - of course - a martini glass.

You can check out the recipe here but don’t worry if you want to adjust the measurements a bit to cater to individual tastes.

Enjoy (responsibly of course).
